Straight from our heart came India’s first pool cleansing robotic platform in 2021, which won an unparalleled support from all our partners in innovation and our continued passion to serve the ocean better, has finally led us to the induction of this Unmanned Underwater Robot to the Andromeida family. We motivated multiple institutes to collaborate and learn the skill of making impactful underwater robots. Our commitment in upscaling oceanic technology makes us one of the notable contributors in inducting the ‘Autonomy’ in sub-sea robotics, under India’s ‘Deep Ocean Mission’.

Andromeida’s story is one of continuous evolution and dedication to solving real-world problems with robotics. Here’s a look at our journey and key milestones.
We started by addressing a community need – keeping swimming pools clean and safe. Our first product, Pool Buddy™, is an autonomous pool-cleaning robot that uses a patented disinfection method to maintain healthy pools . This project, which aligned with UN Blue Economy goals of water quality , earned us a government R&D grant for innovation in 2020. Pool Buddy proved our capability to build rugged underwater systems and even introduced a Robot-as-a-Service model for pool maintenance . After successful pilots (and delighting pool owners with algae-free pools), Pool Buddy is currently being upgraded as we refine its cleaning stack to bring a completely hassle-free solution to pool management and cleaning.
Building over our expertise with Pool Buddy, we already knew our job had just begun. With the traction coming-in to channel solutions for bigger volumes of water, an interaction with Dr. Prachi upgraded our perspective completely and our muggle-head engineers went ahead to register another IP for AquaSee. We always believe it’s more important for you to know than us and hence we began taking complimentary lectures for students and aspirants who loved underwater robotics and were aimed at making a career therein. This initiative evolved as another segment, AndroLearn, and therefore highlighted volumes on our expertise in robotics.
Andromeida’s unshaken determination and dedication to add value to the ocean ecosystem gained national and internal tractions wherein our team represented India at G20 (Bengaluru Chapter) as one of the most amazing deep-tech startups and later at France, on the podium of Global Vivatech held in Paris where we were picked as the most impact driven startup(s) under climate tech domain. Additionally, our company has been the ‘Guest of Honour’ for 3 years consecutively at India's biggest academia organised underwater robotic battle by Aligarh Muslim University, that hosts colleges from around the nation in their campus every year in Aligarh district (Uttar Pradesh).
2023 and 2024 were the most prominent years in our growth journey as we forged national and international partnerships with prominent startup builders like IIT-Delhi, Ministry of Electronics & IT, academic institutions and inking LoIs with international players like Andespeaks group (South America), Global R&D (Israel) and Hannifin Parker (USA) for solving wholesome problems right from Portable desalination technology to Swarm Robotics.
At present, Andromeida has expanded to include every niche expertise in-house. Right from fabrication to assembly and testing of customised thrusters of UUR, Andromeida’s lab in Bengaluru offers a wholesome assembly and fabrication experience to any client interested to customise his/her academic or industrial UUR. The UUR is available in 2 versions, namely UUR-Acad and UUR-Quest. The ‘Acad’ version is optimized for universities, labs, and student training purposes. It is cost-effective and highly modular, making every building block of underwater robots accessible to educational institutes and research groups on a budget. Whereas, UUR-Quest is an expedition-grade model, built for solving observation and monitoring challenges for marine industry professionals, on-site explorers, and lengthier research missions. It retains UUR’s modularity and precision, but augments it for tougher challenges.
